San Rafael Japanese Auto Repair

We've used Easy Auto for car repairs on our Hondas and Toyotas for 20 years. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Have complete confidence in them.

I went in for a last minute oil change and they fit me in right away. The staff was very nice and it took about 45 minutes. I had a coupon that i found in the blue coupon envelope that comes to the house every so often. The price was estimated to be about $50. I was pleased with my experience. The only part I was a but frustrated about was I guess I had a tail light out and they changed that without asking first it was only a $5 part but that type of business makes me nervous because what if it was a $50 part and they fixed in without asking? Maybe I'm jaded from past experiences with other mechanics. My price went from the $40 (with the coupon) back to the starting price of $50 (due to the light and more oil was needed) .

Happy to find this very clean and efficient repair shop in San Rafael. Looked these guys up in a bind with a sudden dead alternator and two kids that needed to be retrieved in two hours (far from home). Chose this shop because they were very courteous on the phone and gave me a fair price on the alternator and managed to get me in that day, AND very close to car rentals. They even have a driver available that can shuttle you to work or to your car rental. Everyone who works at this establishment was exceedingly polite and knowledgeable. I will certainly come back here again.

Easy Auto was recommended by a friend who is a long-time customer. Owners Mark & Debbie and their staff seem to make car repairs a less stressful experience. I especially appreciate explanation of problems, description of work needed, and their pricing seems fair. I was just about to start a new job with an hour and half commute each way. The suspension on my 2009 Toyota Highlander, with 130K miles on it, was feeling spongy and loose. Over the years my family has taken the car on a number of different terrains. So at this point it was a bit of a rough ride, which wasn't a bother just driving around town. I wanted to have the suspension and upper mounts replaced even though I knew it wasn't critical. From a comfort standpoint, bundled with the long commute, I wanted to have it done. It was an expensive repair and I called about 10 different shops to get their best price. Easy auto was by far the best in every area. They had the best price, the best customer service, and the fastest service. They did the job in one day with no surprises. They charged me the exact price they quoted me over the phone down to the cent, which is exactly what I wanted. They even picked me up from my home in Novato. The repair has made a huge difference in the quality of the ride. It's tight and takes bumps in the road like a champ. I highly recommend Easy Auto. They will treat you right and give you the best price for the best quality work. They offer a AAA discount on labor!

I have been a happy Easy Auto customer for over 25 years. These folks are the best. They have maintained several of my Honda/Acura cars over the years. Most recently (2015) I passed 300,000 miles with my beloved Acura Integra -- thanks to Easy Auto. Mark, Debbie, Mark and the whole crew provide great technical expertise and caring, personal service.

This is a fantastic honest mechanic. I've been coming here for over 15 years and they've always been great. Their prices are very fair and they always do a good job and don't try to put one over on you like so many mechanics are guilty of. Mark and Mark are both great, service is super and they know their stuff. I have a very old classic and they were able to find problems when I took it in. They fixed what they could and told me other problems they did not feel competent to fix. Their honesty, good work and timeliness are rare for auto repair shops!!!
