I used Yelp and NPR's Cartalk web site to find these nice people and I'm glad I did. We'll be going back to E.A. next time our car needs a service. They're organized and on time, offer a shuttle service and you can pay in advance and they'll leave your car and keys for you if you have to pick up after hours. Nice level of professionalism. They don't try to up-sell parts or labor even though they could have, with a brake job we simply don't need yet. They answered my questions and I feel they charged a reasonable price for the work.

The name says it all. It is easy and convenient to deal with these guys. Fast, reliable, service. They tell you the truth, work hard to find the cheapest alternative and take the time to be sure you understand all your options - and why. Add free shuttle service, coupons to reduce the cost, a light, clean waiting room with good magazines if you do choose to wait and I'd say you've got perfection. Don't mess around - try this place!

My 2002 Toyota Sienna needed to have a brake issue fixed. They took in my van at 8:30 A.M., by 11:30 A.M. the brake pads had been replaced, the rotors resurfaced, the oil changed, the tires rotated, the transmission oil changed, the tires rotated and the shocks, wipers and light inspected. Great job that was done quickly and professionally. They were a pleasure to work with. Thank you Easy Automotive!

Although I've left the Bay Area, I'm still missing Easy Automotive. I used to travel up from SF just to use them after my sister told me how fantastic they were. And she was right! Bill was always willing to talk about a car issue over the phone before having me schlep up. When an LA Nissan dealer told me a car I was thinking about buying needed $6k worth of work (but there were 2 mechanics "willing to take it off my hands" for $4k), I called Bill. After hearing the list of repairs the dealer said I needed, Bill told me to change the oil, get a new battery and drive it up to him. He knew the model well and said the list sounded bogus. He even said if it needed that much work he'd buy it for $5k. Well needless to say almost nothing of what they said was true, and it took $800 to put it into top shape. And when Bill learned that I was driving the car cross country but my clutch was starting to go, he said not to bother until I hit my new small southern town because It'd be cheaper to replace there, and most of my driving would be highway. How nice was that! All-in-all, EA won't do work that's not necessary (especially important for a woman) , and they work hard to get things right.

I've been going to these guys for at least 10 years and although they may be slightly more expensive than other independent shops they are less than a dealer. They also give a 10% discount with Marin Express. Mark, Deb and Bill are great at explaining options and they have a shuttle service. I live in N. San Rafael so it is nice to get dropped off and picked up if no one else is available. I had my clutch replaced early this year and called quite a few other places and these guys were the lowest.

Having moved from LA and having to say goodbye to my trustworthy mechanic (California Nissan Service), I wasn't looking forward to finding a new mechanic. I found one. Fast service, no bullshit sales, and they washed my car.
